"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it."
We should all ask ourselves what we are following after, and will it led us to life? Today is the day we celebrate out Saviors birth. The day he entered this world to carry out Gods plan of salvation. His time here was filled with many wonders. Just to name a few: He healed the sick, restored sight to the blind, the lame leaped, He cast out demons, forgave sins, healed the broken hearted and set the captives free. He taught his disciples and the people how they could enter His kingdom and have eternal life. A place where there is no more sorrow or pain. When his time had come, He died on a cross for our sins. He paid a price we could never repay. All He asked in return was for us to repent of our sins and turn away from them. To put our trust in Him and seek Him first.
This causes me to think about what I've been seeking after this Christmas season. Have I been seeking Him with all my heart until He is found. Do I wait to hear His still small voice? Could I hear His thunder in the crazyness of a busy day? For such a great price He paid and the sacrifice He made, doesn't He deserve to have more of our time? I think He does. He deserves our lives. When we surrender to Him, He will never leave us nor forsake us (that's a whole other blog to come).
Have a blessed and Merry Christmas!
If you seek Him, He will be found!
With Christ love,
Lisa
